Full-Day On-site ESL Pronunciation Training Seminar:

All course material in the Half-Day On-Site ESL Pronunciation Training Workshop PLUS:

• ESL pronunciation training addressing the correct pronunciation of all American English vowels. Word endings, voicing issues, syllable stress, rate, rhythm, intonation, as well as the melody of American English Pronunciation are also covered to further increase speech clarity and improve verbal ESL effectiveness.
• Following the ESL pronunciation seminar, each participant will receive a personalized prescriptive ESL pronunciation inventory and learning plan which determines strengths/weaknesses and provides a roadmap toward continued ESL pronunciation improvement.

 

Semester Accent Reduction and ESL Pronunciation Training Course:

All course material in the Half-Day On-Site ESL Pronunciation Training Workshop PLUS:

Pronunciation Workshop® provides accent reduction and ESL pronunciation semester courses to international ESL students and faculty either on-site or using our pronunciation distance learning formats.

• Meet once per week for the duration of an academic semester.
• Cover a complete course in American accent, accent reduction and ESL pronunciation training: including pronunciation of vowels, consonants, rhythm, stress, and intonation.
• Use the propriety methods, books, DVD, and curricula of Pronunciation Workshop® for rapid accent reduction and comprehensive instruction in correct English ESL pronunciation for ESL speakers.
• Can be attended by small groups of ESL pronunciation students and faculty, or on an individual basis.

 

ESL Pronunciation DVD Course

Our Bestselling Video ESL pronunciation course consists of 15 Video ESL pronunciation training sessions conducted by Speech Language Pathologist, Paul Gruber, MS, CCC-SLP. We use a speech therapeutic approach focusing on ear training along with other proven clinical methods. We not only demonstrate how to speak English correctly, but we present easy and efficient techniques for the ESL speaker to re-shape the way they sound when speaking English.

This ESL pronunciation video course is self-directed and allows the ESL speaker to train, study and practice pronunciation outside of structured classes and workshops. It provides a consistent, convenient and reliable method for self-study.

Pronunciation Workshop Certification

Pronunciation Workshop® provides a "Certificate of Achievement" or a "Certificate of Excellence" credential contingent on the final evaluation score.

ESL Pronunciation Participants must:

• Master the specific techniques of English pronunciation: place of articulation and the mechanics thereof for vowels, consonants, and patterns of rhythm, syllable stress, and intonation.
• Learn the ESL pronunciation strategies to successfully address the target sounds of native English speakers.
• Learn the linguistic and phonological process of language acquisition, and how this affects the process of accent reduction and ESL pronunciation.
• Receive a full ESL pronunciation curriculum with which to incorporate into their program of English pronunciation study.
• Certification is provided to ESL individuals or groups who successfully complete the Pronunciation Workshop® ESL Pronunciation program. Certification programs are delivered on- site at your organization or by using teleconferencing or videoconferencing formats.

Pronunciation Workshop Assessments:

Pronunciation Workshop® assessments are professional ESL pronunciation evaluations completed by our staff of certified Speech Language Pathologists. They provide both an overview of the ESL speaker's overall vocal abilities as well as a roadmap for determining the verbal areas which require intervention. ESL participants will find pronunciation assessments valuable in identifying individual articulatory weaknesses while receiving a prescription for corrective measures.

Pronunciation Workshop® assessments include a live interview with a Certified Speech Language Pathologist and specialist in ESL pronunciation and accent reduction. Interviews are conducted on-site or via our VoIP teleconferencing or video conferencing technologies.

An ESL pronunciation assessment details specific articulatory errors and verbal behaviors which impact communication. Our Complete Assessment includes a written phonemic inventory revealing specific speech errors and communicative habits which require particular attention. We are then able to provide a comprehensive report from a diagnostic vantage point to assess the ESL speaker's specific strengths, weaknesses and verbal skill level.

A pronunciation learning plan is provided which will outline the corrective course to be taken to achieve success. ESL pronunciation participants will be directed to study and practice specific sessions and elements within our course to target his or her pronunciation errors in the areas of: vowels, consonants, rhythm, stress, intonation, rate of speech, and vocal volume. This material will serve to help the ESL pronunciation speaker to attain correct spontaneous production as well as long-term ESL pronunciation mastery.
