THE TEN KEYS OF ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION IMPROVEMENT

LEARNING TO PRONOUNCE ENGLISH

The best method for learning how to pronounce American English is first learning to “hear” the difference between how you are currently saying English words, and the way they are said by an American-born speaker.

Once that awareness is achieved, you must learn to retrain your mouth to produce new pronunciation patterns. Then practice the techniques and you will quickly transform the way you speak.

Your attention to the specific pronunciation of a word will benefit you in recognizing where to stress a word, how to recognize correct vowel sounds, and in watching the placement of lips, tongue, etc.  Soon, you will transform your own pronunciations and become a fluent and confident American English speaker.

Many of the difficulties non-native speakers of English experience with pronunciation come from the speech habits of their mother tongue. The PronunciationWorkshop.com program targets all the common speech errors made by ESL speakers, regardless of the speaker’s language background.

When learning how to pronounce English correctly, it has been proven that a multi-sensory approach provides the most powerful results.  Pronunciation Workshop uses all four approaches: seeing, hearing, reading, and forming the speech articulators* correctly — plus making the learning process fun — to produce amazing results eight times faster!

  • Pronunciation Workshop videos concentrate on the proper shape and placement of all the speech articulators, which are the jaw, tongue, lips, teeth and vocal cords.
